The Emmert Patternmakers Vise (not vice as my wife sees it) was and still is one of the most feature-rich tools in the wood shop. Add one to your bench or better yet build a bench around it and you'll see that I mean. This vise inspired the Lee Valley Tucker Vise, as well as copies by AMT and Woodcraft to name a few. This blog attempts to join new owners with old vises, and will track the street value of vises as they come and go from eBay. Now I've added Lion Miter Trimmers to the hunt!
Blog changes name and makes sense by accident!
A week ago I started looking for a Lion Miter Trimmer for my shop and got carried away by adding several to my Emmert Patternmakers Vise blog. I felt bad about this because I really wanted to keep this blog focused, but I just couldn't help myself. But guess what I just learned? Emmert was the original manufacturer of the Lion Trimmer! That's right, I accidentally did the right thing when I added the trimmers. So, the blog has a new name and will feature both Patternmakers Vises and Miter Trimmers. Add us to your favorites and check back often for the latest deals and a record of the street prices of recently sold tools. Scott
