The Emmert Patternmakers Vise (not vice as my wife sees it) was and still is one of the most feature-rich tools in the wood shop. Add one to your bench or better yet build a bench around it and you'll see that I mean. This vise inspired the Lee Valley Tucker Vise, as well as copies by AMT and Woodcraft to name a few. This blog attempts to join new owners with old vises, and will track the street value of vises as they come and go from eBay. Now I've added Lion Miter Trimmers to the hunt!

Looking for a great deal on an Emmert K-1 Pattern Maker Universal Vise?

Wouldn't you know that right after buying my new Emmert vise another fine looking specimen drops into my lap! Well, not exactly MY lap, but the lap of a reader of this blog who isn't comfortable with selling on eBay.
